Background information

Dr. Thiru realized the immense gratification associated with patient care early on in life as she grew up watching her parents practice general surgery and obstetrics/gynecology. She reveals that during her childhood days, a very common dinner table discussion at home would be about patients. She remembers vividly how excited her parents were when they talked about patients who improved with specific treatments or surgery. Her goal and passion is to get patients doing better and feeling better. She is committed to the principal "Patient care comes first". Her fascination with the complex nervous system and expertise helps her deal with challenging patient problems with ease. She loves to explore the patient's clinical history in detail and believes every patient is entitled to a thorough neurological workup to determine the underlying cause of symptoms rather than treating them symptomatically. "My practice philosophy is to provide compassionate care to patients and to truly make a difference in their lives" she says.
